American Technology Solutions
Okay, here is what we are doing to prepare for the growing technology boom that is building our economy. Upcoming this week will be the Mashup Camp and University in Silicon Valley. A Very cool and eclectic group of people from Google, Intel, AOL and many more will "Collaborate" on Next Gen. software development. We will be there since we are creating a fantastic new interface for the Web that will bring people together in a way that MySpace cannot. We are building a social networking base at CoolRock that will allow people to interact on ideas, politics and social commonalities. All of this will offer Realtime Audio and Ultimately, Video Applications. We are building this rich internet application to bridge the gap one feels when one posts on some Blog to nowhere. That empty feeling will be a thing of the past in a few short years... Check back as we post from the conference. It's is truly the next move for our Political Party as well. WHile there we are meeting with Newt Gingrich's Group - American Solutions. It is going to be great to compare approaches to this complex task of building America's New Emerging Industries. -DJS

Our New Strategy
Hi Everyone, we recently acquired a few new Websites that will link to CoolRock.
We now have americasthirdparty.com, americanthirdparty.com, and americathirdparty.com.
After much discussion, we opened up this new venue to pull independents in. It is alot easier to imagine Americas Third Party in the homes of average Americans, than it is to see CoolRock. Many of our test markets were reporting that people didn't take us seriously as The Cool Rock Party.
We will always retain the Cool Rock Center for Change. It will deal primarily with Environmental Innovations, as well as streamlining American Business with a totally new approach toward sustainability. So stay tuned as we develop our newest Blogtalkradio show for Americas Third Party. It is playing Wednesdays at 8 PM. Next week our topic is Healthcare Hell. You can call in and tell us your Medical Nightmares.

Our New Radio Show DEBUT was Rockin!
Well , we started our radio show and you can listen to the 15 Min. Segment. It was really fun; no callers yet, but hey, 15 Minutes is hardly enough time to get noticed in this world. You are looking at a man fighting for the privilege to lead your Nation. Whoever you are, I am the only choice you have to say "Screw the Two Party System!" How many elections are "we the people" going to be manipulated by Big Money? Barack is backed by Chicago Elitists, Hillary is funded by East Coast Liberals, and McCain is reluctantly carrying the entrenched Republican cronies into a battle for the White House. Here I stand, the one average man that will not have a chance to lead unless you support me. How else can I say this? You have lost your ability to select your leader. Two terms with Bush have proven one thing, democracy is barely alive, in a real way!

This is not about experience. It's about change and action. You've heard promises from other candidates that seem vague, with no substantial details. You won't get any vague promises from me; I will spell it out for you in detail now and in the coming months. The economy is number one on my list. We want Congress to pass our Homestead Renewal Act, where people can earn their own home by helping to build homes for other people. We also have a plan to build new renewable energy systems and create an environmental service corp., where we can put people to work in growing industries. As far as health care is concerned, we have a plan to provide basic medical assistance for all who need it, with a $20 Co-Pay. We also want to rebuild the VA with state of the art mobile medical units that can spider out to nearby neighborhoods and give people preventative healthcare. This will rebuild our VA system and alleviate the stress emergency care is putting on our many hospitals in

The Swing Vote Paradox
I am a Write-In Candidate for President. I was a Democrat up until this election, and I feel like that Party represents Special Interests, not the American People. Either way, if Hillary or Barack win the nomination, their rhetoric will run dry. Hillary will most likely lose against a Republican, based on the voting of the past. I believe Barack is full of hollow ideas with no substance. For me, change is more than a slogan. We want to change politics in America
The "swing vote paradox" is the idea that if we don't vote for one of the two major candidates, our vote would be lost. The problem I am having is with Obama having ideas of change that are too general and uncreative. It's easy for someone to speak in generalities and promise everything to everybody. I would gladly measure my concepts of change against his, if given the chance. But in our Nation, the average man doesn't get the chance. It is the "swing vote paradox" that keeps real change from actually happening. Ironically, the democrats that are voting for Obama, comprise less than 20% of the actual voting population. Anyway, I don't agree with Huckabee and his stance on evolution, among other things. That ever presence reminder of dinosaurs makes many people question the creationist view. I am tolerant of people's beliefs that differ from mine, but the specter of a religious zealot crossing the line between church and state disturbs me. I know many Republicans that are voting for Huckabee in the Primary because of his deep moral convictions. As you know, after two administrations with Bush, this Nation is pretty conservative. Reaching Out to Centrists
Today marks a landmark change in our American Political System. The 2 Party field for President is narrowing and I can feel the Nation reeling from the choices they have. On the Left, Barack and Hillary are dueling over position, without taking any major risks. They both are in the back pocket of very powerful moneyed interests. Yet, they act like they are polar opposites on key issues like Health Care and the Economy. Granted, they both agree on their interpretation of 7 Years under Bush, but they clearly have a different tone to their arguments. Unfortunately, that tone does not resonate with average Americans. We are the large majority of hard working people who have watched the Democratic Party promise solutions for years and never deliver. Now, we are listening to more of their rhetoric as it pours out onto the Airwaves, with little discussion by average Americans. Well that time is over. Cool Rock is actively building our centrist coalition and we will prevail.
Simply put, we are the unifying force waiting in the wings. Cool Rock is reaching out to other centrists, who are growing in numbers everyday. There was a time when the line between Republicans and Democrats was clear. But, now the 2 Parties are similar in that they support powerful lobbyists and Big Money backers. However, their ability to unite is altered by their long standing partisan bickering. Both Parties have a preconception of what each other is. The Republicans call the Democrats "tax and spenders". While the Democrats talk about the failure of trickle down economics and military spending. I actually look at both perspectives and see some merit in each. But, clearly the dividing lines are obscuring the focus of what America is all about.
We are a Nation that needs to focus on its own needs. The era of America being 911 to the World is over. We need to engender trust among the World's Nations. Our actions in Iraq have destabilized our relations with countless allies. You can thank the two Parties for that. They ratified this Iraq War and wrote a blank check for an endless or"Long War" as the Republicans call it. Our Nation's infrastructure is in dire need of attention. We need to repair our roads and Health Care system. Our borders need to be guarded with a greater presence of U.S. troops.
Ironically, Sen. McCain's perspective on the radical Islamic fundamentalists is correct, but his position involves upscaling our presence in Iraq. I don't know that many people that want the U.S. to invest more human lives to the failed tactics of the Bush administration.
This War is clearly a Republican War, with American lives at stake. The idea of imbedding the troops has been ratified by Bush's hand picked Generals, but certainly not by military strategists. There is no precedent for such a tactic of embedding troops. No War has ever been resolved when we were asked to defend people who blend with the enemy. Sure there are cases like Vietnam, but there was no Winner in that conflict. Resolution was hard earned, over 55,000 U.S. troops died, and many more civilians. The idea of embedding troops in Baghdad has no historical precedent. The Iraq War should be resolved with Automatic Systems behind defendable Safe-Zones. My proposals at Cool Rock , offer America a centrist solution to this incredible problem.
By building large Safe-Zones for our Troops, we can downsize our presence with automation and offer safe harbor to countless refugees fleeing the conflict. The promise of detente' in the region will become a possibility. The important thing we have to do is separate innocent civilians from the dangers of IED's and explosives! Our own troops should not be in such harm's way either. The biggest debacle of this War is the fact that our Shock and Awe Invasion did not guard the Weapons caches that the enemy now possesses. Nearly 200,000 tons of High Explosives were missing from Saddam's storage areas after we invaded. This has proven to be the most difficult problem in our effort to contain the violence in the region. My solution will prevent those explosives from reaching innocent people in Safe Zones.
Today there were 2 explosions in a popular marketplace in Baghdad, in which 73 People died, 167 seriously injured. Apparently the Enemy attached backpacks to 2 mentally retarded Women and detonated the bombs remotely. This horrible loss of life is preventable. For one, women in Iraq are not searched thoroughly due to the fact that only women can search women in Iraq. And there are not many women in Iraq's new army. This poses a huge risk to the public. The public needs to be in areas that are completely clear of any fuel or explosives. My proposed Safe-Zones would not let any person in without complete Spectroscopic analysis with high tech detection capabilities. Plus, with modern biometric analysis, we can determine with reasonable certainty that someone is trustworthy. If these techniques are deployed at entrances to Safezones, people could live in totally secure renewable living areas.

Hi all, fiscal management is essential right now in the U.S. The current recession is starting after a long history of Republican lack of Administration. Well, most of them are working two jobs to pay off their credit card debt, which never gets paid off, because they keep buying things that the Media tells them to buy. America is just now finding out that they need a President to rise out from middle America with a quick witted mind and clear direction to guide the U.S. toward a better future. Okay, enough about me, let's talk about you. You are tired of the Liberal hype about Hillary, or the Maniacal fervor over Obama. You've listened to John McCain and fell asleep. Am I right? No, actually I am in the middle. I have a centrist philosophy that will probably agree with you on 82% of the issues. Do you hear that faint sound of unity in the distance? I do. Or maybe its that sucking sound that Ross Perot so deftly described as your tax dollars getting sucked out of your pocket. I am a lower taxes, guard the border, save the environment, energy self sufficient kind of average American that is fed up with governement as usual. I want to see government accountable at all levels. How many times have you written your congressman, only to get an auto responder back? This is gonna stop under my administration. I want press conferences every 2 weeks! They won't be scripted either. I can promise you that everything I say will be "Real Time" There won't be transmitters sitting on my back during a debate. The Future of the U.S.
If the plan is to adapt to changing conditions, then the first order of business for America is to develop new technologies to better enable people to prosper. This begs the question, "what is prosperity?" As we grow in size, we may not be able to provide opportunities for everyone to prosper. This is not a choice, but rather, an outcome. We must begin to meet our needs, instead of feed our greed. Of course we all want to advance in our careers. But, what is your measurement of advancement? Is it more money? Is it earning more money? Is it having more money? Why is money an essential component? Most would say that it helps you get what you want. Unfortunately, what we want is disappearing. Our seemingly unlimited resources are slowly being depleted. World oil supplies are running out. Total estimates on our remaining oil supply on Earth place the supply at below 50%. With the increasing needs placed on Oil by an ever increasing population, we have less time then we might imagine to replace this asset.
When I wake up in the morning, I think about all of the things I will do that day. I ask myself, "How can I reduce my Carbon Footprint on the face of the Earth?" I seriously doubt if the average person thinks about that. But, we are all going to have to think about that. We are on the verge of a new era. We are entering a time of extreme conservation. This time is going to last for a long time whether we like it or not. At current rates of consumption, World Oil supplies will be nearly gone before 2050. The fact is, this shortage is coming at a time when Mankind has to stop destroying the Earth, before the Earth destroys Mankind. We are perched on the edge of our own extinction, along with all other living creatures below us on the Evolutionary ladder. So what can each and everyone of us do?
The short answer is simple…choose the right leader. I am writing this letter to you, the American people, because I believe that I can make a huge difference in making our government work much more efficiently. I believe I can set the stage for change in Industry and in how our Nation builds its equity. Currently, we have a National Debt so large that if it had to be paid by every man, woman, and child, it would cost all of us $30,000 each! Add to that, the largest Personal Credit debt in history, $10,000 per person on average. Everyone in America would have to pay about $40,000 to some nebulous fund in the financial sky, if we wanted all to be solvent along with this Nation. What does all this mean, in real terms? Well, there are about 300 Million people living in the U.S. The total debt is about 12 Trillion Dollars. In order to begin to pay this off, we have to learn to tighten our spending. I can show America that prosperity can come to us without consuming too many resources. I can lead us toward that future.
We all don't need to consume at such a rapid pace. We all don't need new appliances because they are fashionable to have them. We could drive our cars less. By choosing to go together on errands, we save a lot of greenhouse gases. By running our thermostats low in the Winter and high in the Summer, we will definitely lower the amount of Energy consumed by our Oil dependent Electric Industry. This will immediately lower our Carbon Footprint. And coincidentally, we will all save money on our Energy usage. But can our Economy survive such a serious slowdown? I believe it can.
In 1978, I had a spirited discussion with Milton Friedman, the Nobel Winning Economist, in a meeting at UCLA. In it, he assured me that the invisible hand principle, that Adam Smith had put forth, was in play in America. He stated that government intervention wasn't always necessary to correct economic slowdowns. I knew that Milton Friedman was renowned for his free market ideas, but I saw a bigger problem looming. I asked him how he believed our "service economy" was going to bolster our economic stature in the World economy. He told me that the Market will self correct and take advantage of Global forces to fuel the U.S. economy. That was easy for him to say. He wasn't a struggling student trying to find a parking spot!
I understood the simple fact that market forces would not offer me a grant to go to school. Market forces would not increase my buying power. And I exclaimed to Milton Friedman, that our shrinking Manufacturing sector would ultimately lower the value of our dollar. I believed that our service economy was energy dependent, and if its energy ran dry, it would collapse without government intervention. It was a strange moment for me. About 15 Economics graduates all stared at me, along with Milton himself, wondering why I had interrupted their meeting. I was simply trying to register for some classes next door, when I heard their meeting going on. Here I was, asking the all important questions, yet unable to find a single mind to agree with me. Well, today my predictions are coming true. The U.S. dollar is at an all time low. Our Stock Market is doing enormously well. Which means that it is not Self correcting as Milton thought it would. But rather, it is self-centeredly guiding income out of the public sector, into the private sector. Because of globalization, a large part of the private sector has no national allegiance. Multi-national corporations are free wheeling entities with no borders. Therefore, our government that is giving huge tax breaks to corporations is bankrupting our national equity. We are not profiting, they are!
Every day another family loses their home. Everyday, another job is lost to outsourcing overseas. Our government should be stepping in, to help some of our key industries. A prime example is the Airline Industry. There is a 25 Billion Dollar FAA Superfund that has never been used to update Air Traffic control systems. Our ailing Airline Industry struggles to make a profit, because of huge Pension funds and Healthcare costs. This is also true with our Auto Industry. These industries need support from the U.S. government. The U.S. could back pension funds and healthcare. We don't need to give tax breaks to corporations that hire overseas. Instead, we need to keep our Industries alive with jobs and opportunity.
We as a Nation need a leader like myself, who can lead Congress toward adopting comprehensive support for our Nation's economic growth. If we want to get out of debt and build a Nation where we all don't have to work as much to have a comfortable life, then we need to take our existing assets and direct them toward our people. The American people are America's greatest asset. We can adapt and work together to make the World a better place. But, we cannot do anything if we allow the invisible market forces to mindlessly lead us astray into the abyss of resource depletion, energy shortages, health care disasters, and homelessness for millions of Americans. I will not sit silently waiting for this Nation to lose its greatness.
I need your support to pull this off. I want to make this Nation debt free; leading the way to a sustainable and renewable future. We must not allow our civil servants to get away with leasing our mineral rights to foreign corporations for as low as $1 an acre. We must not let foreign nationals freely enter our country through unguarded borders. We must not allow foreign countries to man our ports of entry. You might think all of this is common sense. It is!
Unfortunately, many of our government officials don't seem to have any common sense. The two party system has elevated this Nation to its highest state of incompetence. For example, the Democrats and Republicans disagree over giving needy kids money for healthcare. That kind of bipartisan bickering is symptomatic of a system that is not functioning. We need to open up discussion on issues at an earlier stage, before they become part of a Mega Bill. Of course a schism in our body politic is bound to reverberate at the lowest levels of government, but why should we, the people, suffer for it. Money for needy children's healthcare seems to be a small example of this huge problem between the two parties.
As President, I would take immediate action to reverse the trend our Economy has taken. I would propose a tax reduction for all Americans who earn less than $100,000 per year. This tax reduction would help countless American's get ahead of their credit problems. It will also stimulate retail sales. Secondly, through the EPA, I would fast track efficiency standards in Autos, Trucks and SUVs. This would begin lowering our reliance on foreign oil as well as curb air pollution, in a short time. I would also maximize and expand our Strategic Oil Reserves. Our Oil Supply is a vital part of our transition to renewable energy alternatives.
Finally, I would bring our troops home from Iraq to guard our borders. This would help us control the flow of government waste overseas. Recent accounts of nearly $40 Billion lost in Iraq is inexcusable. If our purpose is to contain the violence in Iraq, then why can't we automate that process? Why do we need to imbed our troops in harms way? Why do we need to fight this War on our enemies terms? We have the technology to curtail the strike forces of our enemies. Yet why are we not fully developing this capability? I will not abandon our efforts in this region. We will retain the United State's strategic advantage. We will not forget the many soldiers who have died for it. But, we need to see if the Iraqi people can maintain peace without our obvious presence. We will certainly assist their cause with such means as selective strikes from our squadron of drone Predator Aircraft. This has already proven to be a highly effective fighting force. And we will provide safe haven to refugees fleeing this crisis. But that effort will not involve more than a few thousand troops, stationed far from War zones, in protected safezones. I will never initiate a Draft! Our nuclear forces ensure our National Security. Moreover, our foreign policy should not be so overbearing as to prevent us from achieving detente' with other Nations.
We are all connected in this World. Our trade with other countries is vital to our own stability. But, we also have a greater purpose. We need to lead the World in sustainability and environmental technologies. That means we can now focus on improving our own Nation, instead of meddling in the affairs of others. We can focus on improving our infrastructure, while remaining the World leader toward peace. The American people demand more from their government, and I promise to make their government more responsive to their needs.

I am sure you are all wondering if some sort of strange "End of The World" prophecy is coming true. The images of disasters and terrorism on TV are starting to get a little too real. Its true that are planet is warming up at an alarming rate and the effects are enormous. But, there is something you and I can do. We can start organizing as people have done for thousands of years. We can actually reverse the trend our World is currently undergoing. I started COOLROCK so that people could start using their democracy. The existing two party system in America is deadlocked. Our legislative representatives are stifled by their own ideologies. They argue and manuever without making any major headway. We the people of America need a New Voice in American Politics. I want all of us to Speak Out! Reality is getting a little too real. Let's talk about it. Check back as I will be posting new entries about this evolving crisis in the World. Certain programs that generate jobs, have not been developed. Our ailing infrastructure is in serious need. From Roads to Wind Towers, we need a National Job Corp. You know, those U.S. citizens that rarely get represented in Politics, since they are the majority of people that DON'T vote! Why? Well, most of them are working two jobs to pay off their credit card debt, which never gets paid off, because they keep buying things that the Media tells them to buy. So, they now have a representative in me...David Jon "the People's Presidential Candidate" Unfortunately, they don't even now it yet. America is just now finding out that they need a President to rise out from middle America with a quick witted mind and clear direction to guide the U.S. toward a better future. Okay, enough about me, let's talk about you. You are tired of the Liberal hype about Hillary, or the Maniacal fervor over Obama. You've listened to John McCain and fell asleep. Am I right? No, actually I am in the middle. I have a centrist philosophy that will probably agree with you on 82% of the issues. Do you hear that faint sound of unity in the distance? I do. Or maybe its that sucking sound that Ross Perot so deftly described as your tax dollars getting sucked out of your pocket. I am a lower taxes, guard the border, save the environment, energy self sufficient kind of average American that is fed up with governement as usual. I want to see government accountable at all levels. How many times have you written your congressman, only to get an auto responder back? This is gonna stop under my administration. I want press conferences every 2 weeks! They won't be scripted either. I can promise you that everything I say will be "Real Time" There won't be transmitters sitting on my back during a debate. I am ready America. Your answer has arrived. The Cool Rock Party is an alternative to the ineffective two party system. If you are reading this with a sense of doubt, I assure you, you are making History. The Future of the U.S.
If the plan is to adapt to changing conditions, then the first order of business for America is to develop new technologies to better enable people to prosper. This begs the question, "what is prosperity?" As we grow in size, we may not be able to provide opportunities for everyone to prosper. This is not a choice, but rather, an outcome. We must begin to meet our needs, instead of feed our greed. Of course we all want to advance in our careers. But, what is your measurement of advancement? Is it more money? Is it earning more money? Is it having more money? Why is money an essential component? Most would say that it helps you get what you want. Unfortunately, what we want is disappearing. Our seemingly unlimited resources are slowly being depleted. World oil supplies are running out. Total estimates on our remaining oil supply on Earth place the supply at below 50%. With the increasing needs placed on Oil by an ever increasing population, we have less time then we might imagine to replace this asset.
When I wake up in the morning, I think about all of the things I will do that day. I ask myself, "How can I reduce my Carbon Footprint on the face of the Earth?" I seriously doubt if the average person thinks about that. But, we are all going to have to think about that. We are on the verge of a new era. We are entering a time of extreme conservation. This time is going to last for a long time whether we like it or not. At current rates of consumption, World Oil supplies will be nearly gone before 2050. The fact is, this shortage is coming at a time when Mankind has to stop destroying the Earth, before the Earth destroys Mankind. We are perched on the edge of our own extinction, along with all other living creatures below us on the Evolutionary ladder. So what can each and everyone of us do?
The short answer is simple…choose the right leader. I am writing this letter to you, the American people, because I believe that I can make a huge difference in making our government work much more efficiently. I believe I can set the stage for change in Industry and in how our Nation builds its equity. Currently, we have a National Debt so large that if it had to be paid by every man, woman, and child, it would cost all of us $30,000 each! Add to that, the largest Personal Credit debt in history, $10,000 per person on average. Everyone in America would have to pay about $40,000 to some nebulous fund in the financial sky, if we wanted all to be solvent along with this Nation. What does all this mean, in real terms? Well, there are about 300 Million people living in the U.S. The total debt is about 12 Trillion Dollars. In order to begin to pay this off, we have to learn to tighten our spending. I can show America that prosperity can come to us without consuming too many resources. I can lead us toward that future.
We all don't need to consume at such a rapid pace. We all don't need new appliances because they are fashionable to have them. We could drive our cars less. By choosing to go together on errands, we save a lot of greenhouse gases. By running our thermostats low in the Winter and high in the Summer, we will definitely lower the amount of Energy consumed by our Oil dependent Electric Industry. This will immediately lower our Carbon Footprint. And coincidentally, we will all save money on our Energy usage. But can our Economy survive such a serious slowdown? I believe it can.
In 1978, I had a spirited discussion with Milton Friedman, the Nobel Winning Economist, in a meeting at UCLA. In it, he assured me that the invisible hand principle, that Adam Smith had put forth, was in play in America. He stated that government intervention wasn't always necessary to correct economic slowdowns. I knew that Milton Friedman was renowned for his free market ideas, but I saw a bigger problem looming. I asked him how he believed our "service economy" was going to bolster our economic stature in the World economy. He told me that the Market will self correct and take advantage of Global forces to fuel the U.S. economy. That was easy for him to say. He wasn't a struggling student trying to find a parking spot!
I understood the simple fact that market forces would not offer me a grant to go to school. Market forces would not increase my buying power. And I exclaimed to Milton Friedman, that our shrinking Manufacturing sector would ultimately lower the value of our dollar. I believed that our service economy was energy dependent, and if its energy ran dry, it would collapse without government intervention. It was a strange moment for me. About 15 Economics graduates all stared at me, along with Milton himself, wondering why I had interrupted their meeting. I was simply trying to register for some classes next door, when I heard their meeting going on. Here I was, asking the all important questions, yet unable to find a single mind to agree with me. Well, today my predictions are coming true. The U.S. dollar is at an all time low. Our Stock Market is doing enormously well. Which means that it is not Self correcting as Milton thought it would. But rather, it is self-centeredly guiding income out of the public sector, into the private sector. Because of globalization, a large part of the private sector has no national allegiance. Multi-national corporations are free wheeling entities with no borders. Therefore, our government that is giving huge tax breaks to corporations is bankrupting our national equity. We are not profiting, they are!
Every day another family loses their home. Everyday, another job is lost to outsourcing overseas. Our government should be stepping in, to help some of our key industries. A prime example is the Airline Industry. There is a 25 Billion Dollar FAA Superfund that has never been used to update Air Traffic control systems. Our ailing Airline Industry struggles to make a profit, because of huge Pension funds and Healthcare costs. This is also true with our Auto Industry. These industries need support from the U.S. government. The U.S. could back pension funds and healthcare. We don't need to give tax breaks to corporations that hire overseas. Instead, we need to keep our Industries alive with jobs and opportunity.
We as a Nation need a leader like myself, who can lead Congress toward adopting comprehensive support for our Nation's economic growth. If we want to get out of debt and build a Nation where we all don't have to work as much to have a comfortable life, then we need to take our existing assets and direct them toward our people. The American people are America's greatest asset. We can adapt and work together to make the World a better place. But, we cannot do anything if we allow the invisible market forces to mindlessly lead us astray into the abyss of resource depletion, energy shortages, health care disasters, and homelessness for millions of Americans. I will not sit silently waiting for this Nation to lose its greatness.
I need your support to pull this off. I want to make this Nation debt free; leading the way to a sustainable and renewable future. We must not allow our civil servants to get away with leasing our mineral rights to foreign corporations for as low as $1 an acre. We must not let foreign nationals freely enter our country through unguarded borders. We must not allow foreign countries to man our ports of entry. You might think all of this is common sense. It is!
Unfortunately, many of our government officials don't seem to have any common sense. The two party system has elevated this Nation to its highest state of incompetence. For example, the Democrats and Republicans disagree over giving needy kids money for healthcare. That kind of bipartisan bickering is symptomatic of a system that is not functioning. We need to open up discussion on issues at an earlier stage, before they become part of a Mega Bill. Of course a schism in our body politic is bound to reverberate at the lowest levels of government, but why should we, the people, suffer for it. Money for needy children's healthcare seems to be a small example of this huge problem between the two parties.
As President, I would take immediate action to reverse the trend our Economy has taken. I would propose a tax reduction for all Americans who earn less than $100,000 per year. This tax reduction would help countless American's get ahead of their credit problems. It will also stimulate retail sales. Secondly, through the EPA, I would fast track efficiency standards in Autos, Trucks and SUVs. This would begin lowering our reliance on foreign oil as well as curb air pollution, in a short time. I would also maximize and expand our Strategic Oil Reserves. Our Oil Supply is a vital part of our transition to renewable energy alternatives.
Finally, I would bring our troops home from Iraq to guard our borders. This would help us control the flow of government waste overseas. Recent accounts of nearly $40 Billion lost in Iraq is inexcusable. If our purpose is to contain the violence in Iraq, then why can't we automate that process? Why do we need to imbed our troops in harms way? Why do we need to fight this War on our enemies terms? We have the technology to curtail the strike forces of our enemies. Yet why are we not fully developing this capability? I will not abandon our efforts in this region. We will retain the United State's strategic advantage. We will not forget the many soldiers who have died for it. But, we need to see if the Iraqi people can maintain peace without our obvious presence. We will certainly assist their cause with such means as selective strikes from our squadron of drone Predator Aircraft. This has already proven to be a highly effective fighting force. And we will provide safe haven to refugees fleeing this crisis. But that effort will not involve more than a few thousand troops, stationed far from War zones, in protected safezones. I will never initiate a Draft! Our nuclear forces ensure our National Security. Moreover, our foreign policy should not be so overbearing as to prevent us from achieving detente' with other Nations.

RE: The EPA - There is NO LAW affecting Indoor Air Pollution in the U.S.!
That's right. In fact, the EPA is still working off the 1970 Clean Air Act, which doesn't address air quality inside buildings. Also, the EPA is doing next to nothing to uphold the Clean Air Act under the Bush Administration. We are tracking down State and Local officials to try get some Major Retailers to Clean Up Their Air Act. Pun intended.
RE: The FAA - Currently there is No Monitoring of over 14,000 Airports in the U.S.!
I know this sounds amazing, but its true. With all the technology we possess, we can't even mount small camera's in each Airport to simply monitor Air Traffic. I can't say that makes me feel safer. Plus, the FAA has a 25 Billion Dollar Super-fund that has never been used to revamp our Air Traffic Control System. That is all going to change under my Administration.
